As Quality Control Lead you have the unique opportunity to contribute to one of the biggest transitions in the financial services industry: the replacement of several key interest rate benchmarks. With your quality assurance or risk management experience, self-steering and communication skills, you really contribute to the bank’s future.

Interested in becoming a part of one of the bank's most critical programs? Apply if you feel you can’t miss out on this opportunity.

You and your job

As Quality Control Lead you can make a difference by contributing to one of the bank' key programs, allowing you to demonstrate your Quality Control experience in a complex and international environment.

The R4 Programme has a bank-wide, global mandate to prepare the bank's organisation for the benchmark reform. Within this role you will fall under the R4 Programme Management Office (PMO). We do everything in our means to make the programme a success. This includes:

  • Management reporting, quality assurance and risk management;
  • Resource management, vendor and contract management;
  • Facilitating programme board and steering committee meetings.

This role requires interactions with many different stakeholders in a global environment. What makes this opportunity great is that you are the spider in the web regarding Quality Control, working closely with the contract remediation team, audit and the programme management team.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and agreeing the Quality Assurance Approach for Contract Remediation;
  • Engaging with others to gather data needed;
  • Actively assessing the quality of the Contract Remediation Process;
  • Identifying, addressing and rectifying risks;
  • Recommending improvements and periodically reporting your findings.

Ultimately, your work will result in a high quality Contract Remediation Process for the bank and for our clients. As a part of the PMO team you will also support the programme with other PMO tasks.

Benefits of working as Quality Control Lead

You are responsible for leading Quality Control and you also have the opportunity to work on other PMO tasks as well such as planning, reporting, resource management, procurement and even organising team events.

Together we achieve more than alone

We believe in the power of difference. Bringing together people's differences is what makes us an even better bank. So we are very curious about what you can bring to our team in the R4 Programme.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our R4 Programme team is part of the Treasury department but has a group-wide mandate. It brings talented people together to accompany the organisation through the transition from current benchmark rates (like LIBOR and EONIA) to alternative or reformed benchmarks.

The PMO team currently consists of 4 colleagues and you are part of about 60 colleagues in total. The team is highly motivated and driven to achieve the programme objectives with full commitment and integrity. As Raymond Monnik, project manager in the team, says: “It is not often that you get the chance to be part of a programme of such magnitude and impact across the organisation. It is a rare opportunity and I really feel I contribute to the bank’s future. On top of that it is a true pleasure to work in this environment where we combine strong professional expertise with great team ethics”. The role will report to the Lead PMO.

You and your talent

To be successful in this position we expect:

  • A Professional (HBO) or University education level;
  • Experience in or affinity with Quality Assurance and/or Risk Management within a project environment;
  • Knowledge of financial contractual documentation, as you will be closely involved with the Contract Remediation process;
  • Proficient in the English language;
  • Knowledge of and a network within the bank (Wholesale and Rural) organisation is considered a plus, but the ability to reach out to stakeholders from different departments is even more important.

To be successful in this position, you bring the following personality skills with you:

  • High level of self-motivation / self-steering;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
