We are looking for someone who wants to take his/her JS development skills to the next level. Join our team of experienced developers and work on one of the biggest and most complex projects within KPN: the Grip identity platform ( https://grip.kpn.com ). If you are a JavaScript / NodeJS developer and want to take it to the next level, join our team. Our team consists out of a bunch of the funniest and smartest guys around .

 

The organizational unit within KPN?  

Within KPN TDO, Technology & Digital Office, in the B2B IT Solutions section. We are KPN's IT department for the business market and we work with self-organizing agile teams that test, manage, develop and maintain software for our customers and stakeholders.  

We have teams in Zoetermeer, Houten, Ede and Groningen, at the moment we are looking for someone in Zoetermeer. 

 

What is Grip?

The Grip identity platform is used in a million ways. We serve as the identity foundation for KPN itself, MijnKPN Zakelijk, the API Store, Things & MyKPN Wholesale. More than 150.000 organizations in the Netherlands use our platform now! Lots of stakeholders, means a big roadmap, and that's why we need you.

 

What's the assignment?

We work agile in a relaxed way and our team consists of developers, operations specialists, testers, a scrum master and a product owner. What we require is someone smart, willing to work hard, laugh and learn, who can work on our backend (NodeJS) and also helps out in the frontend (Angular) as well. Your work will consist of implementing stories, fixing bugs, attending refinements, retrospectives and other team sessions, review PR’s and listen/convince/discuss technical topics with your colleagues all with the higher goal of improving Grip for our customers!

 

What are the skills needed?

We’re aiming for senior level development skills in these areas and will be assessed as part of the new hire procedure. Next to that, some general knowledge and enthusiasms about security, authentication and identity management solutions would be preferable.

Since we're optimizing CI/CD some basic knowledge on Microsoft Azure, NoSQL/MySQL, Splunk, serverless computing, Jenkins etc. is a pre.

  • Angular 6+
  • Javascript/NodeJS
  • API’s JSON / SOAP / REST
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • At least three years experience working as a software engineer
  • English in word and writing

 

You are / have:

  • English in word and writing
  • Eager to learn continuously
  • Have a EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands

 

The 'new way of working' 

Our way of working has changed since the pandemic. We always had the opportunity to work from home, but since last year we expect to continue to work from home a lot in the future. Our vision for the future is on average 2 days a week to the office for team sessions and events.
