Your job as a Front End Software Engineer at KPN Service Tools

Within our team our digital channels are continuously adapted to optimize the customer experience and to add business value. As a software engineer you are responsible for the continuous development, construction and implementation of business wishes as well as our own. Our solutions are enabled across multiple digital channels such as the Voice Response System, KPN App, Online channels and others. We make this possible via microservices API’s and primarily using web components to enable the touchpoints towards our customers, as team we aim to be end to end responsible as much as possible and in touch with our customers.  

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Front-end software engineer to support our team. You are a code wizard who knows how to ask the right questions to excel in your work. Based on your education and expertise, you are able to translate business requirements into functional solutions and build the solutions to allow our customers to be self-sufficient around the clock. You understand what it takes to deliver omnichannel added value within this position. You have experience in working in a DevOps scrum team and project context via agile/ scrum way of working. Apart from that you have good analytical ability, are a real team-player and you are able to work with other teams (also remotely), so you need to have good English communication skills.

What do we expect from you?

• 3+ years working experience in a relevant job
• A solid understanding of the basics (HTML/SASS/JS)
• Solid Experience in a JavaScript Framework (Angular, React, Vue). We mostly work with Vue and StencilJS.
• Knowledge and experience with unit testing (we use JEST)
• Ops experience: Understanding of Jenkins, docker, Kubernetes or similar tools
• Knowledge and experience with version control
• Self-managing, team player, curious to learn, flexible, can work autonomously.

Nice to have

• Cloud environments with preference in AWS, application monitoring.
• Knowledge and experience with Typescript
• Understanding of web components
