Innovation:

Our Wholesale and Rural Innovation Department (Utrecht) is focused on creating innovation business solutions to meet the needs of our clients and business partners using digital and innovation technological solutions. One such proposition looks at Value Chain Finance solutions for the bank by automating existing processes to improve its operational efficiency.

To deliver this solution and to secure successful outcomes, our innovation team is working on delivering technical applications as well as business products/use cases. Working in an Agile innovation framework, we are set up to deliver through experiments, validating our assumptions and testing feasibility of the product we wish to build. This also means that due to the changing nature of the innovation proposition, new features or build requests may come into the backlog or new business requirements are desired.

Your role:

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join our Innovation Department, which works on developing cutting-edge digital solutions and platforms. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical skills, a solid understanding of the latest web development technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment. You will be working in a team with another front end developer, visual designer, ux designer, a back end developer and data engineers.

Experience requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience (and proven track record) in developing complex web applications with React

• At least 5 years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Experience with the NextJS framework and TypeScript.

• Experience working with Azure pipelines or any other pipelines

• Experience in developing applications using RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interface) and microservices architectures and integrating with third-party APIs and services

• Familiar with data visualization libraries, like ChartJS

• Familiar with best practices for testing frontend (e.g., React testing library)

• Good to have experience with Azure AD

• Experience in working in data focused corporate environments (preferable financial services industry)

• Knowledgeable about innovation principles and (assumption based) way of working

• Experience in working in an Agile development environments, including Scrum

Educational background:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, web development technologies (e.g. React.js, HTML5, CSS3), software design / testing patterns and architecture principles

• Excellent proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, React.js and other relevant libraries and frameworks

• Knowledge of database technologies, SQL, and DevOps

• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

• English (primary) and Dutch language required

• Based / working in The Netherlands (hybrid)
