  • Work at home or travel to Portugal (Porto) especially the first weeks to get to know the team, afterwards from home or Hoevelaken.
  • Tariff: 115€ per hour
  • English  is required (Portuguese an advantage)
  • A real software team lead, not a project manager

Overall responsible for the Basecone Development and Infrastructure strategy and operations (span of control 85 persons) in line with market needs and desired customer experience.

  • Drives the strategic planning, budget, resource planning, timing of different software initiatives,  financial performance and forecasting.
  • You build and maintain an environment for the software organization in which motivation, engagement and innovation can prosper
  • Organizing and leading steering committees in collaboration with stakeholders (business and product development, architecture team, etc.) and with other teams from the business unit (services, back office, sales, business development, etc.)
  • Coordinate product specifications / requirements between the technical and business side;
  • Develop a financial dashboard to monitor the program
  • Given the scope of the program, ensure risk and change management and continuous communications to all involved stakeholders;
  • Close collaboration with the European cloud team that aims to create an international platform for cloud applications
  • You set concrete objectives together with each manager within your organization, and coach and supports everyone to fulfill their goals in a satisfying way.
  • Sponsors and leads the implementation of the most effective software delivery methodologies/ mechanisms on the work floor (e.g. SAFe methodology)
  • In collaboration with the architect and the development managers, you ensure that the architecture, the user interface, and the QA governance meet expectations.

 

Project Management

  • Ensures that projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines
  • Conduct review meetings to keep projects on track, the strategic project manager enables the organization to prioritize its work
  • Publish periodic reports to executive board and division to communicate the status of the strategic projects, key milestones, risks and mitigation plan

 

Change Management

  • Responsibility for leading the delivery of business change management elements required for successful delivery of the objective
  • Includes specific focus on the following organizational change management and operational business readiness planning requirements
  • Create and execute change strategies, including focus in the areas of communications and engagement, training and upskilling, leadership alignment planning
  • Development and execution of business readiness and adoption strategies, criteria setting and monitoring (including tracking the success of readiness and adoption measures in the lead up to and post go-live)
  • Identification of behavioral change and cultural elements as part of the overall change strategy.
  • Undertake regular governance updates as part of the change management team.

 

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years experiences in leading positions for cloud software development and infrastructure.
  • Strong affinity with accounting, payroll or financial systems.
  • Fluent in English
  • Track record in Agile, Scrum or SAFe-principles.
  • Ability to drive organizational transformations and continuous improvement.
  • Highly result oriented and accountable.
  • Leader with a drive to let the teams accelerate
  • Technology evangelist with a clear focus on technology strategy and the development of Cloud services.
  • Inspirational leader, who is not afraid to let their ingenuity lead them off the beaten path.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to manage relationships.
  • Business Acumen: able to create products aligned with the business objectives and market needs things
  • Knowledge and skills in planning, resource identification and coordination, task and activity monitoring, risk and issues management, budgeting, reporting and overall delivery against defined objectives, methods and outcomes
  • Change Management experience, including proven ability to incorporate appropriate processes, tools and techniques in managing humanistic change that informs successful project deliverables
  • Knowledge of organization structure, staffing patterns, and job design
  • Advanced project management and leadership skills. Project Management qualification would be highly regarded
