KPN - Freelance Software Engineer Data Platforms (ZZP)

As Software Engineer Data Platforms you will work with the newest technologies to build and maintain the future Data Platforms of KPN.

As part of the Data Office, you will work within the Data Platforms department together with 30 colleague’s on the future of data platforms within KPN. Besides the daily work we lunch and have drinks together when we are in the office.

You will contribute in designing, building and maintaining our Data Platforms. Enabling the organization to ingest, transform and egress data in a fully automated, efficient and secure manner.

As a Software Engineer Data Platforms you are one of our valued team members. With your work, the platforms will further evolve. You build and run components of the platform that enable the users to develop scalable and automated pipelines.

You are the one that is always finding new and innovative ways to improve the performance and capabilities of our data platforms. Our DevOps teams are praising you for delivering a reliable and stable platform. 

We are looking for smart people with potential and the following background:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent;

• Experience and general knowledge of Azure;

• Good understanding of databases including RDBMS, non-SQL and time-series databases; Knowledge and/or experience with Teradata is an advantage.

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD, monitoring;

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and problem-solving skills;

• Programming skills in Python.

• You have a learning attitude. Not only to master new technologies and programming languages, but also on the interpersonal level.
