KPN Technology Solutions:

Picture a modern day household and you can find our KPN Technology Solutions everywhere.

From the MijnKPN app to the TV, from the e-mailbox to the online shop and from Netflix & Disney+ to Spotify. We’re as close to our customers as it gets.

This means:

You will be working for a large Dutch company whose goal is to connect people via innovative technology, and you can actually witness your work and results in real life!

You will be part of:

  • Our Agile environment where you will work in an autonomous team with the best technologies.

  • Our equal and diverse teams, working side by side with 700 people from all over the world.

  • Our learning organisation, where eagerness to learn and innovate, directly benefits our customer. That’s why we will invest in your personal development.

  • A fast growing tech department where we make the greenest decisions every day. That goes for the way we work together, the activities we do and the solutions we build for our customers. In 2022, KPN is the highest ranked Dutch telco in the Sustainable Brand Index for the third year in a row.

Is it YOU we are looking for?

Naturally we expect the standard skills, like being committed, eager, responsible and a team player. But, what we are really looking for is someone who is passionate about what they do - someone who looks beyond team goals and sees what is needed to further develop and contribute to our engineering culture. You can do this in your own way, using YOUR strengths. Some like to organise (internal or external) meet-ups and share their knowledge by speaking on conferences, while others write blogs and help the teams out when help is needed.

Our teams:

  • The team you would be working in is part of our value stream "Oriënteren en Kopen", an organizational unit in which we have brought together most of the processes and people that work on our shop environment. Specifically, this team is a BusDevOps team that works on Optimization and CMS, and is located in Amsterdam (hybrid working is possible).

  • We work DevOps, so our responsibilities extend to Operations and this includes standby shifts on rotation.

  • Our teams work in a LeSS framework with 7-8 scrum focus teams, which are centered around roadmap items and work from one shared backlog.

  • Periodic switching between teams can be done per individual wishes or when the work for a focus team comes to a close and teams need to be formed around a new focus topic.

  • Our Tech stack: JavaScript, Nuxt (Vue.js) Node.js, npm, yarn, Webpack, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, T-Cloud, Cypress.

Required skills/ experience:

  • Javascript

  • Professional experience with at least one of Frontend frameworks like Nuxt (Vue.js), React or Angular

  • (Knowledge of) DevOps (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Testing

  • Git

  • HTML, CSS

Optional skills/ experience (nice to have):

  • AWS

  • A/B testing

  • E-commerce

  • TelCo

  • CMS

  • Working in Agile environment
